The Harrison is a friendly independent pub in the back streets of King's Cross, central London, whose intimate basement music room, now branded The Harrison Venue, hosts music and comedy gigs most nights of the week and has welcomed emerging and established artists since 2011. The roughly 60-capacity basement runs a good house PA and lights (plus a small live studio) and programmes an eclectic spread, psych-folk to experimental electronica, hard-bop jazz to garage rock, with a strong folk and roots strand including its own all-day folk festival (Saturday 19 September 2026, free entry), alongside spoken word, poetry, comedy and cinema. Autumn 2026 dates include The Magic Violin Trio (17 September), Jack Harris (7 October), John Kirkpatrick (8 October) and the Bee Ororo Quartet (30 October), most starting at 7pm or 7.30pm. Upstairs there is a proper pub with food (open noon to 11pm daily, food noon to 9.30pm) and four hotel rooms. A much-loved London grassroots room (it has previously run save-the-venue crowdfunders) that punches well above its size. Contact 020 7278 3966.
