Beyond The Pale is a modern micro-bar at 2 The Smithfield Centre in Leek, Staffordshire - craft ales, keg beers, cocktails, wines and spirits in a small, chatty room in the heart of the Moorlands market town. It is not a dedicated gig venue: live music is occasional rather than weekly, ranging from acoustic sets and singer-songwriters to Kilnhouse Records showcases and sessions around the Leek Blues Festival, with the odd DJ and house night. Open evenings Monday to Thursday from 6pm, Friday from 5pm and from 2pm at weekends, closing midnight to 1am. Bring your own PA - there is no house system, and the room suits duos and solo acts rather than full bands. Small, friendly and very much a Leek local.
