The Subscription Rooms - known locally as the Sub Rooms - is a historic assembly hall on George Street in the centre of Stroud, Gloucestershire, run by the community-led Stroud Subscription Rooms Trust (registered charity 1180350). Its spaces accommodate up to 500, and the year-round programme mixes touring rock, folk, jazz and tribute acts - recent bookings include Hugh Cornwell, Dirty/DC and Fleetwood Bac - with dance, theatre, spoken word, exhibitions and workshops. A house PA and in-house engineering support performers, and the Central Bar & Kitchen serves on event nights. Box office 01453 796880, open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm.
