The Old Market (TOM) is Brighton and Hove's much-loved independent venue, at Upper Market Street in Hove, East Sussex (BN3 1AS), just outside Brighton city centre. Its flexible main space holds roughly 300 seated and up to 500 standing, and the programme runs the full spread: live music and jazz, comedy, theatre, cabaret, dance, exhibitions, spoken word and talks, with touring acts such as Dominic Miller and Mammal Hands sharing the diary with new theatre and Brighton Fringe shows. The building also houses production facilities and art and photography galleries. Box office bookings go through 01273 201 801 or boxoffice@theoldmarket.com, Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 16:00.
