Chapel Arts Centre is Bath's intimate alternative live-music venue and cafe, set in the basement of St James's Memorial Hall at 9 Lower Borough Walls. The not-for-profit, community and culturally based arts centre holds 200 standing, 150 seated theatre style for films, or 120 seated at cabaret tables, on a smooth oak floor with a full lighting rig and warm natural room acoustics. It programmes a wide spectrum of the performing arts - music, theatre, dance, comedy, film and poetry - with an eclectic music strand taking in blues, folk, rock and roll, world music, jazz and singer-songwriters, and a PA in place for performers. The diary stays busy: more than forty concerts are already on sale across 2026 and 2027.
