The Settle Inn on St Mary's Wynd, built in 1733, is the oldest pub in Stirling, sitting on the hill up to the castle with a vaulted stone roof and a snug, homely feel. It's well known for live music — most notably Wednesday-night sessions where local musicians gather to play Scottish folk — with the cavern-style room at the rear hosting music on various evenings (plus a Sunday-night quiz).
