About This Open Mic
The Night
The Western is a lively West End local on Western Road (LE3 0GA) with its own little pub theatre, and it runs an acoustic open-mic session on the first Sunday of each month from 8pm. Expect a creative, community feel — the venue regularly puts on poetry, music and shows — with a good range of beer to enjoy while you wait for your slot. About The Western Pub
The Western is a traditional community local at 70 Western Road, Leicester, run by Michelle Lovell as one of three Everards pubs, serving Everards Sunchaser and Tiger alongside a refurbished bar, lounge and cafe (open from 8am). It has a large beer garden and a log-burning fire, with regular food, drink and music events including open mic nights and popular Northern Soul nights. Upstairs sits 'Upstairs At The Western', a pub theatre staging comedy, poetry, musicals, drama, music and improvisation. The venue has a house PA and welcomes originals and covers across mixed, soul and acoustic styles.
