About This Open Mic
The Night
The Black Dog is a recently refurbished, family-run pub in the heart of Oadby, just outside Leicester, that hosts a monthly open mic on the first Sunday of the month from 3pm. It's a sociable afternoon session at a pub that also puts on live bands, karaoke and summer gigs on its outdoor stage. PA provided, free to play, just turn up and sign up.
About The Black Dog
The Black Dog is a friendly, traditional community pub in Oadby on the London Road out of Leicester, run by landlords Ronnie and Kully and known as a proper local with a dog-friendly, family welcome. It boasts the biggest outdoor screen in Leicestershire with Sky and TNT sport, a large continental courtyard, car parking and a private function room. Entertainment is a regular fixture — live bands and discos, music and jukebox, with bands or other entertainment typically on Saturdays alongside a Monday quiz night. A relaxed grassroots room for covers bands and party acts rather than a dedicated original-music venue.
