About This Open Mic
The Night
The Old Workshop is a characterful cocktail bar tucked into a historic stone tunnel on Shiprow in Aberdeen's old quarter. Every Sunday from 8pm to 11pm it hosts an open mic night hosted by Ellen Bain, all welcome to take the stage. Ellen also plays a regular Wednesday-evening set, so it's a reliably musical little spot in the heart of town.
About The Old Workshop
The Old Workshop is a characterful candle-lit cocktail bar on Shiprow in central Aberdeen (62-64 Shiprow, AB11 5BY), set inside a historic stone tunnel that has previously been a coal store, workshop and car park, and recognised as a 'Best Speciality Spirit Bar'. Alongside its cocktails and craft beer it runs a regular live-music programme: weekly candle-lit acoustic nights with Ellen Bain every Wednesday from 9pm to midnight, an open-mic night every Sunday (also hosted by Ellen Bain), and occasional DJ and club nights such as 'Caturday Night Live'. Open Wednesday to Sunday, it is a genuine grassroots music and performance spot in the heart of the city.
