The Night

The Loggerheads is a wonderful Grade II-listed 18th-century pub in the heart of Shrewsbury (1 Church Street), famous for its nationally important four-room historic interior. It runs an acoustic open mic on Tuesdays, and the music doesn't stop there — there's a songwriters' night on the first Monday of the month and a folk session every other Sunday, plus a long-running traditional Irish session. A genuinely music-rich old boozer; bring an instrument and join in.

About The Loggerheads

The Loggerheads is a charming 18th-century Grade II listed pub at 1 Church Street in Shrewsbury town centre, Shropshire (SY1 1UG) — a Marston's house that celebrated 600 years on the site. It serves hand-pulled cask ales by a real fire, is very dog-friendly (water and biscuits for canine guests), and keeps traditional games like darts, dominoes and shove ha'penny. Live music is a big part of its character, with regular folk, acoustic and singer-songwriter sessions plus a traditional Irish music session, typically on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Acoustic-led and intimate, it welcomes both original artists and covers — a much-loved grassroots Shrewsbury stage.
