About This Open Mic
The Night
Albert's Shed runs its Jam Night open mic every Tuesday from 8pm, and it's free to play. It starts off as open-mic slots and gradually builds into one big jam, with a house band, full PA and a drum kit on stage so all you need to bring is yourself. Just turn up on the night to get on the list — all levels are welcome at this grassroots-minded Shrewsbury music venue opposite Rowley's House.
About Albert's Shed
Albert's Shed at 8 Barker Street is the home of grassroots music in Shropshire, running live events almost every night of the week. Tuesday is jam night (open-mic slots into a full house-band jam with drum kit and full PA), Wednesday is the BBC-praised Songwriter's Showcase of three original regional acts, Thursdays bring bands and karaoke, and weekends are wall-to-wall cover bands, DJs and Sunday sessions. With a full backline and free-entry Friday gigs, it's one of the region's most active independent live rooms.
