About This Open Mic
The Night
The Blue Angel Open Mic has run at The Horn in St Albans for nearly three decades, now in its 27th-plus year. It takes place every Sunday from 3pm to 6pm with free entry, hosted by Bill in a professional setting with a stage and full PA. To get a floor spot, call Bill ahead on the listed number rather than just turning up.
About The Horn
The Horn is Hertfordshire's premier grassroots live music venue, sitting on the corner of Victoria Street and Alma Road just yards from St Albans City station. Behind its smart front bar is a 200-capacity venue room kitted out with pro sound and lights, hosting live music six nights a week — cover bands every Friday, tribute acts most Saturdays, touring and original acts midweek and acoustic evenings every Sunday. A long-standing fixture of the local scene, it also runs comedy nights and hires out its function room, The Barn.
