The Night
The Fitzgerald is a speakeasy-style 1920s bar hidden up the stairs off Little Lever Street in Manchester's Northern Quarter — all Gatsby glamour and low light. Every Wednesday it hands the stage to local musicians for a jazz-and-blues open mic that runs late into the night, with no cover charge for players or punters. Start time is around 7:30pm; it's a relaxed, music-first room (a separate comedy open mic runs on its own night too).
About The Fitzgerald
The Fitzgerald is a velvet-lit, 1920s-inspired speakeasy cocktail bar at 11 Stevenson Square in Manchester's Northern Quarter (M1 1DB). Live music is central to its identity: it programmes jazz, blues, swing and contemporary acoustic sets, with live music every Saturday (and often Fridays) plus an open-mic night, ranging from classic jazz to more modern acoustic material. Craft cocktails, burlesque-style brunches and a PA-equipped room make it an atmospheric drinking den for both originals and covers performers. Open Wed 5pm–12am through to Fri/Sat 5pm–4am — booking advised on live-music nights.
