About The Billy Goat

The Billy Goat is a charming community local on Stamford Street in Mossley (between Ashton-under-Lyne and the Tameside hills), with a welcoming atmosphere, an inviting beer garden and well-priced beers and spirits. It's a genuine grassroots music room: there's a special-guest-plus-open-mic night every Monday — the long-running 'Acoustic Eclectic' session — alongside other live music and karaoke through the week. A friendly, unpretentious spot that gives Mossley's acoustic, folk and covers performers a regular weekly stage.
