The Night

STACK Middlesbrough is the town-centre shipping-container leisure village, and its weekly 'Sofa Sessions' open mic runs every Monday from 6:30pm to 9pm, hosted by Jack & Billy. It's a free, all-comers open stage — 'whether you're the next big thing or just really good at playing Brazil by Declan McKenna on the guitar' — set among street-food vendors and bars, so there's a buzzy, casual crowd. Bring your guitar and a couple of songs and grab a slot on the night.

About STACK Middlesbrough

STACK Middlesbrough is a shipping-container leisure and social hub around Exchange Square on Albert Road, by the railway station and under the A66. It puts on daily live music — solo artists through to some of the best live bands in the northeast — alongside karaoke sing-alongs, quizzes and live sport, with street-food traders from pizza to bao buns and Greek food. A high-footfall, all-week home for grassroots and covers acts in the town centre.

Planning Your Monday Night

Arrive by 18:30 to sign up for a slot. Entry is free and the open mic typically runs until 21:00. A PA is provided — bring your own instrument and amp.
