The Night
Nook is a friendly neighbourhood cafe-bar in the heart of Heaton Moor, and every Thursday it hosts 'Open Door' from 8pm until around 10:45pm — a showcase of live acoustic and spoken-word talent. It's a curated night: only a handful of acts each week with generous 20–25 minute sets, so sets are booked in advance rather than a free-for-all sign-up. Entry is free and performers get a free drink. Warm, intimate and welcoming to first-timers as well as seasoned players.
About Nook Cafe Bar
The Nook is a neighbourhood cafe bar in the heart of Heaton Moor, Stockport, open seven days a week for coffee, brunch, craft beer, cocktails — and live music. Its anchor music night is Open Door every Thursday (from roughly 7:30pm), a curated showcase of live acoustic and spoken-word talent: typically four artists a week playing 20–25 minute sets, with slots booked in advance, so it sits between an open mic and a booked acoustic night. Saturdays run 'Our Place' with guest DJs spinning vinyl, and weekend takeovers bring pop-up street food and tastings.
