Matt & Phred's is Manchester's longest-running jazz club (since 1993). The Monday open mic is jazz-leaning but accepts most styles — the room has a working upright piano, double bass amp, and a drum kit set up at all times.

210 minutes, around 18 acts at 10 minutes. Jazz standards, acoustic songwriters, the occasional spoken-word piece — vary your set to fit.
