The Night

The Creative Innovation Centre (CICCIC) runs a monthly open mic in its beautiful early-Victorian hall in Taunton, with doors at 7:30pm and music from 8pm. It's an all-ages, genuinely cross-art-form night — poets, musicians, comedians and everything in between — with 10-15 minute slots, a PA and microphones provided. Admission is free for both audience and performers; book a slot ahead via the centre. There's a licensed bar and café on site.

About Creative Innovation Centre

The Creative Innovation Centre (CICCIC) occupies the Memorial Hall on Paul Street in the heart of Taunton town centre, with parking nearby. Founded in 2012, it's a not-for-profit arts, culture and creative-industries centre that doubles as one of the few performance spaces in the town: a gallery and roughly 100-capacity room hosting live music, comedy, stand-up, poetry, film evenings and workshops, with a well-stocked bar and hot drinks all day. Its 'CICCIC Introducing' nights spotlight emerging local artists across mixed genres, and a house PA supports both original acts and covers. A genuine community hub that fills a real gap for live performance in Taunton.

Planning Your TBA Night
