The Night

Run by Taunton's Creative Innovation Centre (CICCIC) at The Memorial Hall on Paul Street, the Acoustic Music Club is a relaxed monthly acoustic night on the third Thursday of every month. Doors open at 7pm with music from 7:30 until around 10:30, and the bill is built around five acts playing short sets alongside a headliner, a warm, well-run showcase for local talent across original material and well-known covers. A PA is provided, all acoustic instruments are welcome, and tickets are GBP 5 in advance or GBP 8 on the door.

The Memorial Hall on Paul Street is home to Taunton's Creative Innovation Centre (CICCIC), an independent arts centre set in a striking early-Victorian hall built in 1862, complete with its own cafe bar and a year-round programme of gigs, classes and exhibitions. Its monthly Acoustic Music Club, on the third Thursday, is a relaxed, well-run showcase for local talent, with a PA provided and all acoustic instruments welcome. The flexible hall holds roughly 20 to 100 people depending on layout, right in Taunton town centre with parking metres away.
