Why One Platform Beats Five

Every extra tool is another place for things to fall through the cracks.

Most independent promoters coordinate events across Facebook, email, Eventbrite, spreadsheets, and WhatsApp. Finding artists on one platform, booking venues on another, managing budgets in a spreadsheet, and chasing confirmations everywhere.

GigXchange puts it all in one place. Search 228 artists and 9,447 gigs across 40 cities, send booking requests to artists and venues directly, sign digital contracts in 1 minute, handle payments through Stripe (8% booking fee), and manage your full event timeline from a single dashboard. One missed message doesn't derail your event when everything lives in one thread.

Promoter FAQ

Yes. GigXchange is built for promoters who need to book both sides of an event. You can search for and book venues and artists from the same dashboard, with separate contracts and payment flows for each.
Payments are handled through Stripe. When you book a venue, you pay the venue's fee. When you book an artist, you pay the artist's fee. Deposits are held securely until both parties confirm the event is complete, then funds are released. Every booking includes an auto-generated agreement from our Booking Contract Generator.
Absolutely. Your promoter dashboard lets you manage up to 500 gigs at once. Each event has its own bookings, contracts, budget, and timeline — switch between events in under 1 minute, all visible from one central view. See what's already running in your city via the UK gig directory.
Our emergency cover system kicks in within 24 hours. When an artist cancels, the platform can notify matching artists in your area who are available on that date — usually replacement found within 48 hours. The dispute resolution process ensures deposits are refunded within 7 days if the gig falls through.
Free to join, free to create your promoter profile, free to search and browse. We only charge a small platform fee when a booking is confirmed and paid — so you never pay unless you're actively running events. Compare typical UK booking economics in our UK market statistics.
No. GigXchange is built for independent promoters — whether you're organising your first local gig night or running a series of events. No company registration, no minimum event size, no gatekeeping. Browse the UK gig directory to see what other promoters are running.
Promoters with an active diary can be featured in GigXchange Member Spotlight — a fortnightly long-form editorial that profiles your event series, programming philosophy, the rooms you work with and the bills you build. Each piece runs at its own URL, ships with an A4 press-kit PDF, a 1200×630 OG share card and a Spotlight badge for your event posters and socials. Free, no paid placement. Email founder@gigxchange.app with one sentence on what makes your nights worth a spotlight.
