The Spyglass Inn is a world-famous, award-winning seafront pub at the western end of Ventnor Esplanade, Isle of Wight, in a building dating from around 1830 and run by the Gibbs family. Live local music has been a fixture every week for over 30 years, with free acts Thursday to Sunday spanning classical guitar, blues, folk and traditional jazz — regulars include JC & Angelina (Thursdays), Scarecrow & The Sharpetones (alternating Fridays), Nick Page and Roger Holmes (weekends). Famed for fresh local seafood, real ale and sea views, it also offers self-contained holiday apartments above the bar.
