The Foundry Torquay is a 1,000-capacity multi-purpose event and performance venue on Torwood Street, in the Scala building on the Torquay harbourside. It was opened to work alongside international promoters, artists and festival organisers, rejuvenating a South-West music scene the operators judged under-represented. It books international touring acts alongside club nights and one-off events, with a full in-house PA and engineer, and sits at the larger end of the South-West circuit rather than the grassroots tier.
