Built in 1823 as Hope Park Chapel and converted to a music venue in 1979, the former church now stages over 200 events a year across an exceptionally broad programme — classical and chamber music, jazz, folk, world and contemporary touring rock/pop — and is a key Edinburgh International Festival and Fringe venue. Its galleried hall holds up to 900 standing or 801 seated, with a full in-house production spec and technical team. A proper professionally-run room rather than a grassroots pub stage, it's a flagship stop for national and international touring artists in the capital.
