The Corn Exchange is a grassroots live-music venue at 39 Fore Street in the centre of Hertford, Hertfordshire. It's a historic hall with a bar, stage and large dance floor, available for private hire with full catering, and runs a packed gig programme of original bands, tribute and party nights ticketed via Ticketmaster, Skiddle and Bandsintown - autumn 2026 alone takes in The Blockheads, China Crisis, Space, Martin Turner (ex Wishbone Ash), a fortnightly Tuesday open mic and a run of Wednesday Battle of the Bands heats. The venue's own FAQ puts the saleable capacity at 250 standing and 150 seated, and confirms it provides bands with the PA, mics and stands. Doors close at midnight Sunday to Thursday and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Its heritage runs deep: the room has hosted The Who, The Pretenders and The Kinks.
