About The Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon is a grassroots music venue in Bishopston, Bristol with a standing capacity of approximately 70. PA system and vocal mics are provided; bring your own instruments and amps.
The Blue Lagoon is a laid-back café and live-music bar at 18–20 Gloucester Road, Bishopston, Bristol (BS7 8AE) — open seven days a week with a tropical outdoor seating area on the bustling Gloucester Road strip and a strong commitment to live, local music. Events are always free entry and run most days, with a popular weekly open mic every Tuesday (it has its own @bluelagoonbristolopenmic account) — arrive early to sign up as it fills fast. Like the rest of the Gloucester Road open-mic circuit, the room blends music, poetry and comedy and the crowd is happy to genre-hop. A PA and vocal mic are provided; solo songwriters, duos and acoustic acts suit the set-up best, with full bands best checking with the host first. Confirmed open and gigging in 2026 (Headfirst Bristol, Yelp May 2026).
