Ye Olde Black Boy at 150 High Street sits in Hull's historic Old Town and is the city's oldest pub, built in 1729 — a Grade II listed building with a CAMRA Three-Star Historic Pub Interior. Music centres on Wednesdays: the 'Folkies' gather in the afternoon and an open mic night follows in the evening, with a loyal following of folk singers and acoustic musicians. Alongside real ale, a jukebox and a cosy multi-room layout, it's a characterful grassroots spot for acoustic and folk players. House PA in place; both originals and covers welcome.
