The Spinning Top bills itself as Stockport's premier intimate live-music venue, at 20 Wellington Road South (SK4 1AA), handily next door to the Garrick Theatre. Music features on three or four nights a week — including most Thursdays — across live bands, open-mic nights and jam sessions, making it a genuine hub for grassroots creative expression in Stockport and south Manchester. The single spacious room is pared-back, with perimeter seating and the bar to one side, and the drinks lean into locally brewed cask ale, real cider and continental/German beers. Typical opening is evenings Tuesday and Thursday–Saturday plus Sunday afternoons.
