The Scholars Arms is a family-friendly Greene King pub at 166 Above Bar Street in the heart of Southampton (SO14 7DU), drawing students, locals and sports fans with hearty food, drinks and games. Music is a fixture of the week: live music every Friday night from 9pm, a live DJ every Saturday from 9pm, and a free Open Mic Night every Sunday from 7pm — all free entry. Beyond the regular slots it runs acoustic garden sets and the 'Untapped' music competition. The pub also offers a pool table, quiz and fruit machines, two 16-foot shuffleboard tables and live sport on the TVs.
