The Peacock is a stunning, family-run Edwardian pub and dedicated events space at 287 High Street West in the heart of Sunderland (SR1 3ES). It's a serious live-music operation for its size: two stages host local, national and international artists, there's a first-floor music venue and event space called Waves, and recording studios occupy the second floor. Alongside gigs it runs a popular Thursday-night pub quiz (from 8pm) and a strong match-day offering. The mix of stages, in-house event space and studios makes it one of Sunderland's more ambitious grassroots music hubs.
