The Outhouse is a long-running, arty bar tucked down Broughton Street Lane (12A, EH1 3LY) in Edinburgh's New Town. Known for its large enclosed beer garden — widely rated one of the best in the city, with heaters for the Scottish weather — it pairs a strong cocktail and craft-beer offer with live music sessions, DJ nights and themed parties, with a free function room and private bar available upstairs. It has hosted DJs from many of the city's biggest club nights and remains a dependable inclusive venue for grassroots music and events in central Edinburgh.
