The Central Bar is a lively town-centre bar at 18 St Mary's Street, Truro (TR1 2AF), occupying the former premises of the Royal British Legion club and opened to the public in summer 2018. Locals describe it as a 'proper boozer' with a great atmosphere. Its large bar room is mainly given over to music and partying — weekends bring a lively party vibe with DJ sets and karaoke (every Sunday), while Tuesday open-mic nights encourage local talent to take the stage. Darts, pool and a big-screen for sport round out the offer. A solid in-house PA and full backline support the open-mic sessions, welcoming both covers and originals.
