The Artizan is a large Victorian street-corner local in Northampton's old shoe-making quarter, sympathetically remodelled in late 2014 into one big open room with an open kitchen and a pizza oven. It pours two real ales — usually one Locale, often from the Phipps range — and serves cooked-to-order pizzas, with a beer garden out back and a dog-friendly welcome. Live music is a weekly fixture, typically on Thursday evenings, making this a relaxed grassroots spot for local acoustic and band acts. Open from mid-afternoon Monday to Thursday and from noon Friday to Sunday.
