Live Lounge is the intimate performance space inside The Point on Holmeside in Sunderland city centre (SR1 3JE). The Point is a multi-use events complex — converted from the old Ritz/ABC cinema — with a grand main hall and the more intimate Live Lounge, which showcases live bands every weekend. It is well known for supporting and showcasing local grassroots musicians as well as cover and function bands, and is praised for great sound quality, helpful staff and a rocking atmosphere. The wider venue carries a long heritage of touring bands and live entertainment events.
