Yellow Arch Studios is a 200-capacity live-music venue, recording studio and bar at 30-36 Burton Road in the Neepsend/Kelham Island quarter of Sheffield (S3 8BX). Housed in a converted Edwardian nuts-and-bolts factory, it has operated since 1997 as a recording studio, rehearsal space and equipment-hire business — with Arctic Monkeys, Richard Hawley and Jarvis Cocker among those who have recorded there — and opened as a full-time licensed venue on 7 February 2015. The complex pairs a 200-cap main warehouse room with a courtyard (marquee available), rehearsal rooms and a Moroccan-style café bar. Programming is deliberately eclectic, embracing music and performing arts from all genres and corners of the globe, with a particular lean towards roots, dub, afrobeat, jazz, disco and funk, plus regular gigs, open mics, raves and DJ nights. As a full venue it runs an in-house PA and is a fixture of Sheffield's grassroots and touring circuit.
