Upstairs is Inverness's ~100-capacity late-lounge live music venue at 14 Bridge Street in the city centre, run by the MRG group. Its primary mission is to give electronic and alternative music a platform performed and reproduced to the highest standard, backed by a powerful in-house sound and lighting system. The programme is genuinely eclectic — techno, trance, house, afrobeats and amapiano club nights sit alongside live indie rock, post-punk, metalcore, Scottish folk and Gaelic music, plus comedy and burlesque. It operates a Safe(r) Space policy with a zero-tolerance approach and is over-18s for most events, making it the Highlands' go-to small venue for both touring acts and underground local DJs and bands.
