The Sugarhouse is Lancaster's biggest nightclub and live music venue, on Sugar House Alley in the heart of the city — not London. Established in 1982 and run by Lancaster University Students' Union, it draws the bulk of Lancaster's student population across multiple rooms with a star-studded calendar. Previous guest acts include Rudimental, Sigala, Lethal Bizzle, Danny Howard, Jaguar Skills, Mistajam and B. Traits, alongside themed nights spanning chart hits to alternative anthems. Student-focused touches include discounted entry with student ID, free "sugar buses" between campus and the club, and a strong welfare offer (free anti-spiking devices, drink-testing kits and trained welfare staff).
