The Stage Door is Southampton's fringe theatre, live-music venue and bar at 78 West Marlands Road (SO14 7FW), in the heart of the city's Cultural Quarter. The flexible room seats up to 110 in rows or around 70 cabaret-style, and clears for standing gigs at a maximum of 150 — programming live music, cabaret, burlesque, comedy, plays and musicals. It is a dependable mid-size stop for touring indie, rock and post-punk acts and tribute bands (e.g. Joy Division tribute Shadowplay with True Order).
