The Pioneer Club is a 400-capacity music venue and youth & community charity on Heathlands Drive, St Albans, Hertfordshire (AL3 5AY) — also home to the oldest indoor skatepark in the UK. Founded in 1941 for London evacuees during the Second World War, it remains a community hub centred on youth culture across skate, music, dance and the arts. With a state-of-the-art sound system, the venue has hosted a remarkable roll-call of acts over the years — The Zombies, Motorhead, Bring Me The Horizon, Enter Shikari, Rudimental, Declan McKenna, Don Broco, Friendly Fires, DJ Hype and Judge Jules among them — spanning rock, metal, punk, indie, drum & bass and electronic.
