The Old Fruitmarket is an atmospheric concert venue on Candleriggs in Glasgow's Merchant City, part of the City Halls complex run by Glasgow Life. A former Victorian market hall, it retains its lofty vaulted roof, cast-iron columns and balcony, with a flexible standing/seated capacity of roughly 1,000–1,200. It programmes folk, jazz, world, pop and indie concerts plus comedy, club nights, weddings and banquets, and is a regular home for the Glasgow Jazz Festival, Celtic Connections and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra projects.
