The Fleece is Bristol's largest independent live-music venue — a 450-capacity, Grade II* listed room at 12 St Thomas Street (BS1 6JJ) in the Redcliffe / Old City area, first used as a sheep-trading market in the 1800s and putting on live music and club nights seven nights a week since 1982. It has hosted Radiohead, Oasis, Muse, Idles, Suede, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Darkness, Amy Winehouse and Ed Sheeran on the way up, and continues to book touring rock, metal, indie and punk acts (e.g. Gaerea).
