Subway Cowgate is a late-night bar and club tucked under the arches of George IV Bridge in Edinburgh's Old Town, at 69 Cowgate (EH1 1JW). Decked out in NYC-subway graffiti murals, it's a fixture of the Cowgate's nightlife strip, open roughly 22:00 to 03:00. The programming is overwhelmingly DJ-led — midweek house, classic hip hop and R&B, Friday guest DJs and the long-running Saturday 'BRONX' urban/grime night — alongside themed party nights and the Monday drag show. It draws a young, mostly student crowd with cheap drinks. Capacity is around 500.
