Stylus is Leeds University Union's award-winning 1,000-capacity live music and club venue (overall capacity ~1,200) in the heart of the University of Leeds campus, West Yorkshire. Operating since the late 1960s, it runs a broad music policy — live bands, hip hop, drum & bass, dubstep, electro, house and techno — and its flagship student night Fruity. A 2011 L-Acoustics KARA PA install (the only one of its kind in the UK at the time) has supported sell-out shows from the likes of James Blake, Little Dragon, M83 and Trivium, alongside heritage acts such as Public Enemy and The Wailers. The frozen city "Leeds" is correct.
