Rough Trade Nottingham is a record shop, bar and live-music venue rolled into one, housed across a three-storey Victorian building at 5 Broad Street in the Hockley quarter. The ground floor is the record store; the first-floor live room holds around 150 and runs a steady diet of in-store performances, album-launch shows and touring indie, rock and alternative acts. It's also the spiritual home of the Beat The Streets festival. The room has its own PA and stage, so artists don't need to bring backline for ticketed gigs.
