Papillon is a restaurant, bar and live-music venue housed in a beautifully renovated historic church at 61 Commercial Road, Southampton (SO15 1GG), directly opposite the Mayflower Theatre. It opened in autumn 2023 and quickly became a city-centre landmark, with a 450 capacity that suits high-profile touring acts and sell-out shows — 2026 bills include 80s synth-pop band China Crisis. Open seven days a week for food, cocktails and gigs, the church setting gives it a distinctive atmosphere among Southampton's grassroots circuit.
