Orchard West is a 1,000-capacity temporary theatre on the Westgate site in Dartford, Kent, a five-minute walk from the main Orchard Theatre. It was built to keep live performances running while essential RAAC-concrete remediation works are carried out at the original Orchard Theatre (works estimated to continue until at least May 2026). The space hosts touring musicians, comedians, dance, theatre, tribute shows and the annual pantomime in a warm, safe and comfortable setting. The permanent Orchard Theatre (956 seats, opened 1983) reopens once works complete.
