New Cross Inn is one of south-east London's best-loved grassroots music venues, at 323 New Cross Road (SE14 6AS) in the New Cross area of Lewisham. The main room holds 350 standing, with the adjoining Stocks Bar taking another 150, giving a total venue capacity of 500 across two floors. By the 2010s it had built a fierce reputation for punk, ska and hardcore, hosting sold-out shows by international touring acts and local talent, and it now runs live music seven days a week. Fully equipped with house PA, it's a true grassroots band room rather than a bring-your-own-equipment space — a cornerstone of the UK DIY punk and ska circuit.
