After a £150K refurbishment, the top floor holds up to 260 people and carries a state-of-the-art sound, lighting and visuals rig, plus two DJ booths and a mini stage on the dance floor for live performers. The programme is built around resident and guest DJs, drag and cabaret performers and live acts, drawing a lively, gay-friendly crowd, and entry is generally free. The venue reopened in April 2015 and rebranded to Navy Bar 2.1 in late 2024. It's a club-and-cabaret space rather than a traditional band room, but it does host live performers alongside its DJ and drag nights.
