Millennium Square is Leeds' award-winning city-centre outdoor public space and live-entertainment venue, a 4,500m² civic plaza in the heart of the civic quarter surrounded by Leeds Civic Hall, Town Hall and the City Museum. It holds up to roughly 5,900 standing (around 2,500 seated) depending on layout, and every summer becomes the focal point for the city's open-air Summer Series concerts, drawing thousands. Across the year it also hosts the Christkindelmarkt German Christmas market, an outdoor ice rink, the Leeds Food & Drink Festival, Leeds Pride and multi-cultural celebrations — a flagship outdoor stage for large-scale live music in Leeds.
