Manchester Academy 2 is a 900-capacity (375 seated) live-music venue on the first floor of the University of Manchester Students' Union on Oxford Road, about a mile south of the city centre. Part of the four-room Manchester Academy complex, the original Main Hall began hosting music in 1963 and the room is now a key all-standing stop for touring rock, indie, metal, punk and alternative acts (Alpha Wolf among the 2026 bookings). It was voted third-best venue in the country in an NME readers' poll, and runs full in-house PA, lighting and production.
