The Limelight is Belfast's best-known small/mid-size live-music and club complex, on Ormeau Avenue in the city centre. Open since 1987, it spans two adjoining rooms — Limelight 1 (around 750 capacity) and Limelight 2 (around 450) — plus Katy's Bar, giving a combined capacity of roughly 750+ across the building. It has been shortlisted as one of Britain's best small venues (NME) and is a key stop on the UK/Ireland touring circuit, booking rock, indie, punk, metal, pop and tribute acts as well as club nights. As an established professional venue it runs house PA and production rather than bring-your-own gear.
